Level-up your next event with Austin Bolo
Austin Bolo's "Build Your Own Bolo" experience is a unique opportunity for guests to design their own custom bolo tie. Guests will choose from a variety of quality slides, cord, and tips, then relax and socialize while their one-of-a-kind bolo tie is assembled on-site.
Our Bolo Bar offers a little something for everyone, from traditional to modern, colorful to subdued, feminine to masculine. We'll learn about your group before the event to further tailor the offerings!
How it works
It's simple. Arrive at the Bolo Bar, write your name on a design card, and make two selections: a slide, and a cord & tip combo. We take it from there, assembling and packaging your one-of-a-kind bolo while you mingle and enjoy the event. Pick up your finished bolo whenever you're ready, try it on, and snap a selfie in our "Tie One On" mirror.

What do you get to choose?
Slide
This is the piece that connects the cord at the front, somewhere under your neck on your torso. The slide has a clasp on the back that holds the cord together and lets you style the bolo tie in a variety of ways by wearing the slide higher or lower. Austin Bolo offers stone, metal, vintage, and unique handmade glass slides.
Cord
This is the slender material (usually leather) that goes around your neck with the two ends hanging down in front. Leather alternatives, such as biodegradable cotton and cork, also work well. Austin Bolo offers leather and non-leather cord options.
Tips
These are the decorative finishes on each end of the cord. Tips can be minimalist and modern or intricate and fanciful. We always bring a wide variety of silver and gold tone tips from which to choose. Premium sterling silver and elegant custom designed tips are also available.

Minimum group size
20 guests
Location
Austin-based. We'll travel to your venue and will consider events in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and surrounding areas.
Timing
The BYOB experience pairs well with other events and activities. It works best as part of a larger event (a dinner, cocktail hour, team-building day) so guests have something to enjoy while we assemble.
Customization
We can tailor the offerings to your crowd by gender balance, colors, or materials. Additional event customizations (for example, event-specific engraved tags on each bolo) are possible with 30 days or more advance notice, at additional cost.
Booking
A 50% non-refundable deposit and signed Event Agreement are required to book your date. We recommend booking 30 days or more in advance.
